If you're worried about lip synching, you might as well forget The Good, The Bad and the Ugly and some other classic Westerns.
I watched The Magnificent Seven and didn't notice anything bad.
These movies almost all have to be "looped" back at the studio. When recording outdoors on location the microphones sometimes pick up bird noises, or airplanes, or just aren't loud enough. And so back at the studio the actors often dub their own voices while looking at the moving pictures of themselves. Well done this can be almost perfect, but sometimes it's hard to get it exactly right.
Bottom line: The Magnificent Seven is a truly magnificent Western with an amazing cast, great music, and the synch issues which if there at all are small and relate to what I wrote just above. In other words, it's what was seen and heard in the original theatrical release. The PQ and AQ are great for a release of this date. Buy with confidence! Great film.
