I was fully agreeing with what you were saying.
This summer has had, and still has to come, some great movies. But having them all slammed together in this summer is really hard to get a feel on how well movies are actually doing. If they had been more spaced out, there is a better chance some of this movies could have done better...But really, there is no way to know now.
Things like X-Men, Kung Fu Panda and probably Green Lantern, will have to heavily rely on the home video sales to make a lot of it's money back...
