What will you do when a new animation or family movies comes outs:

1. Buy a BD for yourself/family to watch in your home theater
2. Buy only the DVD for your children to watch in their rooms or portable dvd player
3. Buy both BD and DVD disc
4. Buy a BD player for their rooms (if you do this: what about portable players for long road trips)
5. Hope for a BD/DVD combo disc
How often would you expect different movies to be playing at the same time?

It's fairly easy to send the SD signals from a BD player to another SDTV somewhere in the house. There are a lot of wireless solutions.

I would seem expensive to consider multiple BD players at this point. A child on the way wouldn't be a PS/3 candidate.

I would think the combination of some cheap kids titles on a cheap DVD player and some transmitted family titles (shared in the HT room, and elsewhere), would be your best bet.

BD/DVD combos are unlikely, unless those come out of Warner's Total HD push. The BD studios didn't find enough interest for them. And the HD DVD consumer hate their's.
