It seems like Toshiba wants the two studios to stay with HD-DVD as long as Warner is still releasing titles on the format. It is a pretty crummy thing for Toshiba to do. In essence, they are hoping to hoodwink, unsuspecting customers into buying into a dead format.

Paramount and Universal would be just as guilty. It may be their way to get back at Warner, and try to sell remaining software inventory as well.

I said it before and will say it again. I will never pay full price for any Paramount and Universal releases until they hit bargain bin prices.
