Oh, whew--Saw it on Instant Netflix and thought the washed-out look was from a low-grade StarzPlay print.
Turned out the fault was not in its Starz, but in itself.
(And I know the Frank Langella play was a big deal at the time, but the movie was
way off-book--For one thing, they seem to have switched the main characters of Mina and Lucy around...
)
