Honestly this was one of the more disappointing movies of the year for me, when factoring in critical acclaim/reviews, even though I wasn't expecting it to be amazing
per se.
I'm a big western fan and I'm into revisionist takes on that genre (the spaghetti westerns,
Unforgiven,
No Country For Old Men kinda fits that mold), but this film did nothing for me. Without being to spoilery, you could read some sort of political allegory into it but how it is presented onscreen is not particularly compelling and incredibly plodding.
Certainly not recommended as a blind-buy, even at that price.
