2) What audio is outputed through the optical cable with the PS3 using Blu-ray disks?

3) Does the PS3 output HD audio sources with the HDMI cable and should I just get and receiver with HDMI?

4) Can you enjoy DTS HD or Dolby trueHD with a PS3 as your Blu-ray player?

As you can tell, I am confused as to how to get the best audio now that I have the best video.

Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

1. Yes but it will be dvd quality

2. You can get Dolby Digital and DTS but the DVD compressed lossy types

3. Yes

4. DTS HD maybe, DTD HD-MA no, the PS3 can't decode that yet. Dolby TrueHD it can. Naturally LPCM tracks aswell.
