To make BR look even better in the chart, they could have made a special note that the bitrates provided in the table are assuming lossy "mp3" level soundtrack. If there is to be a lossless "premium" quality soundtrack (which should be part of the premium HD experience), BR stays at 40 Mb/s and all other figures would effectively drop by approx. 5 Mb/s. Naturally, lossless audio is not available in some of the other examples on the table, at all, but it is worthwhile to keep apples to apples where possible.
The article really does get to the heart of the issue, though. It is an excellent PR rebuttal to address all of the digital download buzz going on since CES.
