I have a sony 46W3000 with the sony S300 using HDMI cables. (about 95% of the movies I have watched were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, and this is the ONLY one that i have been EXTREMELY disappointed in) I set the format on auto, but also changed it manually to 1080P (after looking at the other formats only to see they were not even acceptable on my 13" bathroom tv)

Has anyone else had this issue.

Ps. I Found that it was worse on VIVID, and seemed to look a little more justifiable on CINEMA mode, which i dont mind watching, but still looked like snow.

Thanks in advance.
What do you mean by it looks like snow? Do you mean it's grainy? If so, then that's how the director intended the film to look like. It's artificial grain that was added to enhance the movie. Anyways, I also noticed that you use the normal calibration settings on the Sony TV "Vivid" and "Cinema". Have you tried calibrating your TV? It looks much better when you set it correctly which goes along with your environment (seating, lighting, ect).

I have the KDL-46XBR2 and I think that the movie looks great.
