Well, in this case, the BDA has made certain choices and then we get to choose--thing is, the BDA has more choices to choose from.

Also want to point out that someone is very misinformed when it comes to the BDA and how much control Sony has as a member. I know that everyone is placing Sony as the poster child of Blu-ray, but honestly there are corporations with higher stakes than Sony (Panasonic and Philips to name a couple).
