This thread is 3 years old, but perhaps someone gave you some bad information back then? I included a copy of In the Land of Women Italian BD in a recent order from Amazon.es and I was surprised to see it is actually region free (well, at least region AB). The back cover says "available on HD DVD and Blu-ray", so perhaps since they released it simultaneously on HD DVD & BD they got away with making the BD region free? I tested it on my Samsung BDP2500 region A player that produces a blank screen whenever it encounters PAL video and it played fine. Italian and original English DTS HD Master Audio 5.1, with optional Italian subtitles for hearing impaired. Very nice quality and nicely inexpensive, on Amazon.es (Spain) anyway, around 9 euro.
