If you like Amitabh Bachchan and don't mind watching films on DVD, I highly recommend you try this film called
Kaala Patthar. It loosely adapts Conrad's Lord Jim into an ensemble story set in an Indian coal mining town. A great classic of Indian cinema and one of Bachchan's best performances IMO.
