On the live streaming of the 2011 HDTV shoot-out, the top model LG was on the wall next to the rest of the flagship TV's and the LG performed embarrassingly bad. It had awful image retention and the black levels were horrendous. Everyone in the chat in the live-stream were commenting on why the LG TV even made an appearance.
On a side note: How television info measured the Z950 with a .004 MLL (black level) is beyond me. They need a new meter, because .04 is actually about what the VT30 is. The D8000 Samsungs are measured at .006-.009. If I remember correctly, the LG was measured during the shoot-out to having .026-.030, which is worse than some LCD displays.

That is really bad because LG have a lot of picture options (which is a calibrators dream) but the bad black levels really negate that feature.
