Disney does collectible packaging and children don't collect them. Parents buy them for kids.
You have to remember that steelbooks were made first and foremost for SELLING a product. If you get something neat or interesting with a product, you are more tempted to buy it. Collectors have just turned it into something more. Which is why you see steelbooks for weird or not as popular titles because the packaging makes it more of an interesting buy and helps pushes sales.
Look at Smurfs or Green Lantern. Without the steelbook, I doubt they would sell as many copies.

This movie is fun for the whole family, just like Toy Story and all other animated flicks, I don't see anyone complaining about them, but yeah I kinda agree that FS lost their plot a bit, they should've released Drive in steelbook, that Drive slipcover is sweet but could've been pure awesome on the front of debossed steelbook
Love the cover and the bg colour combination, must buy for me
