The bass was great before, but it changed and is fabulous now.
I did have a few issues in the beginning with audyessy, and that was because of mic placement, and the fact that I had changed my seats. The kind of seats I have, I have to raise the mic higher then ear level/ above the height of the chairs.

I really wish I could've held out for an Onkyo with XT32, but the 809 was pretty much out of my price range. I haven't bought any blu-rays in a while, and I've been eating more ramen noodles.
According to Audyssey's website, the XT has 128x resolution on subs and 16x on the satellites, but the XT32 has 512x on the subs
and satellites, and " more than
ten thousand individual control points"!
I'll bet your 5008 sounds incredible with your Monitor Audio speakers and those awesome PB12 +'s!
