I'm not so certain about Sony Pioneering Blu Ray. They certainly have a big input into it, but there are many other companies heavilly involved. This seems to be one of the first projects where a combined group resolve problems e.g. TDK and the surface protection, JVC and the DVD / BD combined disc and the list goes on, but Sony is certainly in the middle of it
