Really a good feeling when you see everyone having a good time in line.
I can concur with that, when a friend of mine and my nephew went down to Portland for the Zelda gallery show for the gold Zelda Moss variant, we decided to see what it would be like, drove the 3 hours south and got there at midnight. The line was already 42 people long when we arrived, and the prints weren't even going on sale until 12pm so we waited 12 hours, I was somehow given the names/line number list and took it over so when people showed up they checked in with me, because we were told of the 100 prints made, only 60 were being sold at 12pm, a few others were going to be held for gallery employees, and a few for online sales (I think the gallery got 68 or 70 of the gold variants of the 100 made) and Moss would be selling the rest via his site at a later date we were told.

Lots of really cool people in line, despite the fact that we had 12 hours until the print went on sale, we all watched out for each other, we didn't make people stay in line, basically the list had people's names and where they ranked in line on it. I spoke with several people from EB and everyone was quite cool, no rudeness or cocky people whatsoever. Sure there were a few things that made people raise their eyebrow and say "WTF?" such as a husband and wife who were there with their two small kids making them sleep and hang out throughout the night, but the kids were well-behaved and while people knew the kids were there to flip them, so were about half to three quarters of everyone else, so there was no reason why they could not wait either.

People flew in from all over the country, and drove in from as far as southern California. One guy was trying to have a blank space on the list for his buddy who was flying in but the majority overruled that and said "He has to be here on the list and in-person". By 5:30am I had taken the last name (#60) yet people continued to line-up. We explained to them they probably would not get one, since we had 60 confirmed people but they waited anyways. By 12pm there were about 90 people in line, 30 of which didn't get one, some waiting 5 hours to be told "No you wont get one by the gallery" despite us telling them previously. Overall it was enjoyable talking with the people, and hearing their stories about how many of them travel around and do it whenever they can.
