Why 40 feet away..... Calibration etc. shouldn't be an issue, because he should be getting a better image via Blu-Ray regardless.

Just help us understand a little more about the situation, and we'll see if we can help. I'm not throwing stones, but I'm certainly scratching my head at this point.
