Should Pixar Studios Remake Classics?
I finally got around to watching Ratatouille, [I know, I'm old], the other night, and was completely amazed at how real the water looked when he was going down the sewer. How would you feel if Pixar Animation redid classic animation in the likes of Disney and throughout, instead of purchasing the same movie every year? e.g. the golden, platinum, 2-disc-buy-it-now-before-it-goes-back-in-the-disney-vault editions?
Suffice to say, it "may" not be deemed a classic anymore without the same animation, however, if the likes of same waters were to be applied to say, The Little Mermaid, then one could put the updated movie and the classic movie on the same Blu-ray disk.
As with the Platinum Editions, they always show the comparisons side by side in the DVD commercials, however, how much sharper could one "really" make it for a Blu-Platinum-ray edition?
Dispite the fact that Ferngully isn't Disney owned, I'd actually think it'd be rather cool to see that colorful sewer water (laughs) falling onto the leaves. I'm by no means bashing Disney, however, it's the same version, and there's like 25 versions for each film now. It's like The Land Before Time all over again.
2-Disc Blu-ray Diamond Edition: Lion King. I'd buy that.
