Myself, I think Fox has went a tad too far on the contrast on many of their titles and black levels has been an issue for some time on their titles. I've had to tweak my HDTV several times to get a better black level on some of their movies.
Sony on the other hand, I thought they did a good job with 'The Holiday'. It was never meant to be a great-looking flick, but it was somewhere enjoyable. Very sharp picture quality, I would say, good black level. Though there were a couple scenes where it seemed a little grayish instead of white.
Talladega Nights and Click, yes they were poorly handled. No doubt about that. But overall, Sony has done a good job with a lot of their titles.
