I have Sammy BD-P1200, i know it sucks, but i love it.

It would only do 5.1 through its HDMI even though it is 1.3 HDMI

My Denon AVR 987 does not process True HD or DTS-HD or other lossless "CODEC" format

My question is what happens if studios decided to only have True HD instead of uncompressed audio?

Also i played Live Free or Die Hard i selected DTS-HD audio, my receiver still played the sound, not sure how.
