I was in the same situation just about 1 month ago. It was a 52" samsung 5265 without 120hz for $2000 or pay $1000 more for the Samsung 5271 ($3000). I could not justify the spending 50% more money on a tv for minimal features. Don't get me wrong, the 120hz is nice but I just feel that with the way technology is changing in TVs I would rather have that money back in my pocket for my for a future purchase. (Don't go cheap, but there is no need to go overboard).
I looked at it this way. I bought a 720p 32" samsung for $1600 bucks two years ago. I have since replaced that "amazing tv" IN 2.5 YEARS with newer technology because 1080p became more affordable. 2160p or OLED will become available to the consumer in the near future and you will be out another $1000 bucks.
