I use one of these for my blurays and DVD's:

I'm really happy with it, fits under the TV and will hold close to 700 films. Don't really have the room for a shelf system in the house so I went this route (don't think the wife wants the video store look in our living room anyways ). I keep all of the original cases stored neatly away so I have them in case I want to sell a film, get a bigger house with a media room, etc. I keep the discs in paper sleeves with the clear window in front, write the name and year of the film on the top front for organization. When looking for a film it's very similiar to looking through a card catalog. Been keeping discs this way for some time and never have had a problem. I do keep all my multi-disc sets (Mel Brooks Collection, Harry Potter, etc), digibooks and TV Series on a shelf.
