In fact, that's the rule and not the exception.
I remember reading about this several years ago. Virtually all TV series will sell high numbers for the first season with a steady drop-off in sales for subsequent seasons. It's the way things are.
It might seem odd to you or me...but it's been an accepted reality of video sales since the days of VHS.
