Honestly, I think it was the Ry Cooder score that initially got me interested in the film as well. This was quite a few years ago before I started watching Wenders' films.
It's one of those perfect scores. Never intrudes, just adds to the mood. And with a master like Ry at the helm, you can't really go wrong.
Thanks for the rec on Tender Mercies. Definitely going to check that one out!
