I think that 3D is even more specialised here than it is in say, the US. I should imagine that in general, more consumers are swayed by funky packaging than they are in a 3D copy which they don't even the hardware to watch. The die-hards, as we've seen are willing to buy the steelbook and the 3D version to get what they ultimately want.
I'm more annoyed about the lack of DVD copies in steelbooks than I am 3D versions which I never watch or will watch. If it's both versions on 1 Blu-ray then fine, but I'd rather have had a DVD in the Prometheus steelbook (especially for the price) than a coaster which is all it is to me.

Yes but the point is this film was made for 3D...so my point is more valid because of this.
