Default Keeping Your Blu-Ray Gear Safe

With the price of Blu-Ray hardware and movies still pretty high, we all think about the security of our investment. Blu-Ray gear represents a significant investment, something that burglars may target specifically.

I've thought about this for a while, and have narrowed down to three solutions I think might work. What I'm looking for is opinions and possible alternatives to these three options when you detect an intruder creeping towards your stuff:

1. Pump a round into a shotgun, and have your Significan Other shout, "Not a head shot this time! Hit this one in the crotch."

2. Fire up a chainsaw, gun it a couple of times, and yell "Honey, go get the garden hose! Hope this one don't flop around too much..."

3. Do nothing. You've already wrapped your Blu-Ray equipment with razor wire, and slapped an HD-DVD sticker over the Blu-Ray logo.

I'm getting a bit paranoid about my stuff - any other ideas or comments are welcome.
