I still call bullshit on this lawsuit and say it's an indictment of our society as a whole. Everyone is looking to sue somebody. Everyone is looking for a dark corporate conspiacy against the little guy. Bullshit.
Toshiba is a business. Their sole purpose in life is to make money and return profits to their investors. They co-developed a product called HD-DVD in order to make even more money. The product became unprofitable and they stopped development. In the business world it's known as ignoring sunk cost. In layman terms its called cutting your losses.
If Blu-ray had lost the "war" I wouldn't be filing lawsuits. Nobody coerced me into buying the damn thing.
