I think that is just fine - as long as the native 4K titles are under the Blu-ray umbrella.
The good news for people interested in top quality product right now is that Sony will push "4K mastered" on brand new releases. This initiative will likely introduce some very impressive looking Blu-ray releases later this year, and next.
