I'm looking to upgrade my lcd and have settled between these 2. The main difference that I can see is that the contrast ratio in the new 6 series is 50,000:1 where as the 81F is 25,000:1 (not exactly sure). The only reason I'm not dead set on the new 6 series is that it's about $300 cheaper then the 81F series (being on sale at best buy for 3100). Why is the new ones cheaper? Oh this is for a 46in btw
