I just did so, saying that "obsolete" is a correct word, but the definition needs to be clarified. 1.0 players will still be able to watch BD movies, but some (most, from what I've read) will not be able to utilize IME, which, as we know, the majority of people on here seem to not care about (counting those who have responded in those threads; I will add that people do like the features, but more people who respond just want top-notch audio and video).

"The ability of a profile 1.1 player to support secondary video in no way obsoletes the dominant feature of the format, playing back a feature title with high definition audio/video." That's the point that needs to be clarified, and you express it well, Talkstr8t. That is THE advantage of any HD medium, getting higher quality of the material.
