Sadly it looks as though my 80GB backwards-compatible PS3 has finally joined the YLOD club. It happened last night as I was about to watch Dredd. It didn't even make it past the studio logo before it shut off with no warning with the disc inside. Fortunately I tried the old hair dryer trick this afternoon and it worked just long enough for me to retrieve my Blu-ray disc
And here I thought I was gonna make it right up to the launch date for the PS4. Such bad timing, especially with God of War: Ascension coming out this week. I guess it's time to pony up and buy a brand new Slim
