Most stores, when doing exchanges for packaged movies/music/games/etc, will reopen the product at the customer service counter before letting you leave with it (to stop people from doing exactly what was suggested).
Your best bet, if you're really that pissed with the principle, would be to talk to the store manager. Make sure to bring a printout of the price online, make sure he knows you're angry and that you don't plan to shop at the store (or online) again if the pricing issue isn't resolved and you
may get somewhere.
Worst comes to worst, at least you'll know if the store can be reasonable. If not, maybe you really should take your shopping dollars elsewhere.
