Yes, I'm fully aware that "The Hobbit" is a children's book, I read it as a kid myself...Overall, I thought "The Hobbit" was great, I rated it 4/5 on the voting poll...All I'm saying is that the complaints I posted above, are what kept it from garnering a 5/5 from me. They're very minor points, easily fixable, and if an EE is being worked on, while I completely understand that the filmmakers aren't going to bow to fan requests of any sort (it's simply impossible as there's too many differing opinions), if I were the one doing the re-editing, I'd take that stuff out and replace it with some more valuable footage (namely, more of Gollum talking to himself, perhaps in his little boat in the water, as well as the lead Eagle thanking Gandalf for having previously healed his wing, like he did in the animated Rankin-Bass feature, they should even use the same voice!

Yeah, I had no problem with the running time of "The Hobbit," and from what I saw in trailers, I don't think I would've been able to stand more than about 5 minutes of "Django."
