Think I'm nuts?
Not a single person who has left his employ while the shows were still on have had success
Greenwalt- Every show cancelled, even the good ones. Tim Minear, same thing. Amber Benson- Didn't give up theother job to play the first- Retribution was swift
Ira Behr just can't seem to get a break. Old BlueBeard is one of the bestshowrunners in the biz, and 4400 is a testament to that. I've put in some emails asking about it from people who would know, but haven't gotten a response back, and my friend in LA couldn't make it out to the picket line to ask Ira while there still was one
Trail of bodies for them also includes Drive, the "let's put it on Sunday, and cancel it the following Monday" show.

Amber Benson was asked to be The First? Geez, that was dumb to turn down. Not that it was much of a part on screen... Fillion was great as Caleb though.
I don't find the Firefly axing anywhere near as harsh as Tru Calling. A) it didn't end on a devastating-baddies-winning abrupt end. B) They got to make a movie to tie things up.
I'm looking forward to seeing Dushku and Whedon together again with Dollhouse.
And Dushku was at the end of Buffy, remember...
Who knows what has happened to Gellar though... Been very quiet - although maybe intentionally. I liked The Return though.

Editing bad? Like what for example? Or are you talking about ad breaks being put in nastily? I'm watching it on DVD so can't comment on butchered TV broadcasting.
