I love the prologue and find it exciting yet informative. I love seeing Frodo and Old Bilbo again--their little chat about the party and the Sackville Baggins got me nerdishly excited. I love Gandalf and Bilbo's little chat, straight from Tolkien's text, and the following Unexpected Party scene. The dwarves were a riot and I loved the songs.
Actually I just loved the whole film haha. Regarding the pace, it's certainly not everyone's cup of tea. If you can't get into the story or are not engaged, then I bet you will find the movie to feel a lot longer--and that's fine--apples to oranges.
Me, personally, cannot wait until the extended cut. I love Jackson's take on Middle Earth

Completely agreed. I loved the movie and the criticisms are mostly unfounded.
