Home Media article (SlySoft Touts Bypassing Blu-ray Safeguards.)
This new article from home media magazine mentions that SlySoft Inc new AnyDVD software might pose a threat to BD+.
Quote
“
The software would appear to pose a serious threat to the security claims proffered by supporters of Blu-ray and BD+, including assumption the technology was impenetrable to hackers for the next 10 years.”
Perhaps the AnyDVD software is not a true circumvent of DRM and BD+ and the AnyDVD software might need constant software updates since BD+ security key can be changed on a per disc bases.
Here is the original home media magazine article. I am against piracy but it is interesting that there are companies that still make software that allows one to make a fair use backup copy or worse the ability to sale unauthorized BLU-RAY movies which violates the copy write laws.
