Japan has had recorders from late 2006, as we sit here twiddling our thumbs waiting for any indication we will EVER see them in North America.
The TV networks are not only putting out mostly trash, they are stopping us from purchasing equipment to archive what little is left, because they want to sell us the discs they produce (whenever they get around to producing them).
How many of you can burn an HD stream from your HDPVR without using a PC?
