70% of European Homes to Own HDTV by 2012

European sales of high definition TV and video devices will surge by 158 per cent this year, reaching 28.1 million units, according to the latest research from the Strategy Analytics Connected Home Devices service, "Europe's High Definition Homes." By 2012, 70% of European homes will own at least one HD-capable TV, up from 8% in 2006.
