Tomorrow I have to give a presentation in my business class over an article about toshiba surrending to sony. I have a few questions

Was blu ray founded by sony? Who has the patent? Arent there like 10 blu ray manufactureres now? I was just wondering how it all got started and who controls what.

Also, i was trying to get some input on my last slide.

It consists of Blu-ray vs DVD and I wanted to talk about the next steps for blu ray and the obstacles they have to overcome. here is what i have so far....

blu-ray still has a long battle to fight against the well established dvd. The demand for blu-ray is going to come down to how sony and other manufacturers approach pricing. It is estimated that blu-ray will represent far less than 25% of disc players sold until the price falls below $200. With technology changing so rapidly it is extrememly hard to predict outcomes. I think blu-ray will slowly take over DVD, but will be heavily competing against other substitutes like digital downloading.

It is a little short. Any input or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I cant think of a strong closing statement either.
