No, no, no. I thought you could figure out the situation on your own but I guess not. I'll lay it out simply for you:

the reason why it is slightly cheaper for you is simply what I said: you are American (living in the US). You are not getting charged the sales tax that applies to the product because it is out of the UK and EU. You are not getting a discount. You're getting what the price should be had the UK not charge so much in sales tax.
