NBC's "Rosemary's Baby"

The Summer 2013 Press Tour of the Television Critics Association is underway. It was there where NBC revealed plans for a limited-run series based on ROSEMARY’S BABY.
Announced alongside four shows of the same limited ilk, including a new version of Stephen King’s THE TOMMYKNOCKERS (previously adapted by ABC and director John Power in 1993), not much is known yet regarding the ROSEMARY redo. Interestingly, the “going back to the source” rationale that many studios/networks fall back on justifying remakes holds little water here, since the essential Roman Polanski film is remarkably faithful to the Ira Levin novel of the same name. Both that film and book tell of a young woman impregnated with
NBC also reportedly called the upcoming ROSEMARY’S BABY something of a “resetting.” Does that mean they’re hoping to expand and move on from the original story? It won’t be the first time Rosemary Woodhouse came to television, as the 1976 film LOOK WHAT’S HAPPENED TO ROSEMARY’S BABY starring Patty Duke, attempted to continue the tale
