Where does it say they don't have updates?
The update, I'm assuming, fixes the decoding issue that produces a gunshot-like pop while listening to certain DTS-MA ('m tired of typing DTS-HDMA . . . from now on it's DTS-MA!) tracks. If you're using a PS3 it's an unnecessary update, but if you switch to a stand alone I'd do it. But I'd do it anyway, just because it'd make me feel better knowing my shit isn't "broken."
