I wasn't talking about making a Hostel type movie with these characters. I was thinking more along the lines of Frightners or Sleepy Hollow. Something where the humour could be geared more for adults. At the same time it could actually be a little spooky.
Also, remember that Scooby is a stoners favorite and always has been. I'm thinking, playing to that crowd. Instead of hinting at Shaggy being a stoner just go ahead and show him as a stoner. Same with Velma being a lesbian or whatever.
