Depends if you want the clutch for the ultimate driving experience. With it you can do your toe-heel downshifting, double clutching etc. I have heard that the shifter feels like crap though (i.e. like a plastic toy), but it gets the job done.
The G25 is fully functional in a ton of PC racing sims. I believe GT5:P is the first PS3 game to support the clutch though (in other games it works the same as the DFP). Hopefully more games will add this in the future.
