Default Diagnose PS3/Burnout problem.

Hi all, hoping to get some feedback on an issue I am having and my theory.

My PS3 is a 60gb unit, have had it about 8-9 months. Have cleaned it on ocassion (every 4-6 weeks).

I have had an issue twice now (just now, and about a month ago) while playing Burnout. I have never had the issue with any other game. While doing a burning route or some very long and/or fast race (i.e. continually doing boost) the game will stop but the music keeps playing. The car stops dead where it is (motor noise still going) and after about half a second everything continues as normal. No lock-up, no crashing (of the system, not my car) or anything else.

The reason I mentioned the music still playing is that I have 2 theories, which are based on the fact that burnout streams things from the disc (i.e. no load times):

1) It is actually possible to go so fast in the game that I travel across the map faster than it can load
2) My PS3 is dirty and needs cleaned.

I suppose it is also possible that it is a combination of the two (i.e. it has trouble reading, therefore it is possible for me to get into a situation where there is no data in the system's RAM.

Has anyone else had a similar issue with the game and/or any other game?

If it is something serious I would prefer to have Sony look into it before my 1 year is up (I think it's a 1 year warranty?) However, before I waste my time calling I want to see if this is a known issue.

Thanks!
