This is the kind of thing that will delay the mass market acceptance of Blu-ray. The PS3 (and all Blu-ray players) should switch to the best audio format and provide it automatically. People (other than forum regulars like us) don't want to, and shouldn't have to know the difference between bitstream, PCM, whatever. They don't want to have to go into audio settings and check all the boxes for 5.1, 7.1, etc. Sure we need the ability to change settings, and tweak things to our preferences, but Blu-rayd discs should provide the best audio (and video) experience to all users by default for the 95% of the people who aren't 'tweakers'.
