I have played and beaten FEAR on the 360. I recently bought the PS3 version this week and have put in about 5+ hours into it.

When compared to the 360 version I did not notice much of a difference on the visuals. This may be biased since I have the 360 hooked up to a 32'HD CRT TV and my PS3 is hooked up to a 40' HD LCD. I think the LCD makes the PS3 version look a little better but not much.

The Sound on the PS3 version is alot better. It is easier to hear the enemies foot steps as they approach and listening to the phone messages you find through out the game is alot clearer. There are some sound affects that appear to be missing. In the 360 version, any time you get close to a bucket or trash can it makes an insane amount of noise. I have not noticed this sound affect at all in the PS3 version. It almost seems like they forgot to add the sound affect.

They PS3 game does have some glitches. It is easy to get stuck on corners of walls. I also had an issue where I threw a grenade as the game saved a checkpoint. The game froze for a split second and as i tried to kill the enemy soldiers they would not die. I unloaded a full clip into one and he just kept coming. I paused the game and restarted from the check point and everything was back to normal. Another issue is the sensitivity of the controller. The crosshair when in slow motion is very sensitive i have tweaked the sensitivity option some but it can be frustrating when trying to attack multiple targets.

One feature that i do not miss on any of the other games for PS3 but really missed on FEAR is the rumble feature. This game has tons of explosion and a level where you are in a crumbling building. Not having that rumble as the building shakes and suff falls from the ceilings really took some of the affect away.

Overall i think the game is still good. The 360 version does seem better but that should be expected on any game that came out for the 360 first.
