I don't really see the problem. It will get awareness up and hopefully get the fence sitters off of the fence, especially if they think that early HD releases will become a trend.

And as far as upsetting DVD owners, who cares? Are they not going to buy the movie when it does release on DVD? They'll still buy it on DVD when it releases and eventually get a BD player.

Companies need to start taking more "risks" and do something out of the ordinary. Try it once and if they don't think it's working, then don't do it again.
