I read on here before that due to the Hd-DVD production process, they are unable to make a few copies of a title so they can test them in players; they have to do an entire production run before they can test. This is not how it is with Blu-ray. Search the forums here for this thread, because I read it on here. This is a HUGE advantage for Blu-ray, quite a cost-saving attribute. If the disc doesn't work in all players, they don't have to throw away a whole run of discs.
You know BDA will wait to release Batman and such until after they've tested the discs on post-halloween players, which have the 1.1 spec. They'll be primed for the holiday season.
